I received a mail from my corporate friends. There are few lessons which one has to learn when they are in corporates. Though, I am not, then also it is very useful. Enjoy!!

"A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. After a few seconds of arguing over which one should go and answer the doorbell.

The wife gives up, quickly wraps herself up in a towel and runs downstairs.
When she opens the door, there stands Bob, The next door neighbor.

Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 Just to Drop that towel that you have on".
After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands n*ked in front of Bob.
Bob has a close look at her for a few seconds, hands over $800 and quietly leaves.

Confused, but excited about her good fortune, the woman wraps back up in the towel and goes upstairs.

When she gets back to the bathroom, her husband asks from the shower "Who was that?"

I was just watching TV today evening and was thinking what the great technology must be behind such a simple box. We sit here, press a button, and it's done. What must be the technology behind that? Now-a-days with DIRECT TV connections, our press of a button on the remote control, actually requests the TV set to receive a different signal frequency from the satellite!

The thought proceeded and made me think that so many DIRECT TV Packages are available. Here in India, the service providers are very different than those overseas. The DIRECTV Packages in the US, I've read, contain quite different and more interesting channels, with an option of getting HD transmission too!

I wish I could have been in the US to enjoy the so many nice channels.

Another gr8 story:

A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her.

The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed.

The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl.

The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.

That night, the girl slept peacefully.

But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story: If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship, you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent..

Another great story from my fellow friends..

One day, I hopped into a taxi and took off for the airport . We were driving in the right lane when suddenly, a black car, jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed the brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!
The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. I mean, was really friendly.
So I asked, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!" This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck'

He explained, "Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. NEVER take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on with the routine life." Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...... 'Love the people who treat you right.. Pray for the ones who don't.'

Here is another beautiful story received by me. Its very touchy and informative. It shows our attitude towards life. So, here it goes....

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, some plain-looking and some expensive and exquisite, telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said, 'If you noticed, all the nice-looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones."While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress'.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the better cups and are eyeing each other's cups.' 'Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it'

So don't let the cups drive you...enjoy the coffee instead.

A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine.

Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a young. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work.

He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life.

He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!" So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."

Malai Kofta: Delicious Veggie Balls and Gravy

This is a twist in my blog - A recipe. I am not a hard core cook yet I try to experiment with some different things. So, I tried Malai Kofta last evening. It looked so tempting (tasty as well)....:). Here is its close-up in the right side. It took around 2 hrs preparation to make it, but it was worth. Everybody liked it. You also want to try it at home? Following is the recipe for 4-6 people:

Ingredients for Koftas(Balls):

6 potatoes
2 heaped tbsp each of crumbled paneer,
khoya and thick malai
4-5 cashewnuts chopped
2-3 finely chopped green chillies
1/4 tsp sugar
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red-chilli powder
Salt To Taste
3 tbsp cooking oil/ghee
Oil for frying the koftas

Ingredients for Gravy:

3 medium onions,chopped
3 large tomatoes
1 tsp red-chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp powdered poppy seeds
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp ground peanuts/cashewnuts

How to start:

Boil the potatoes.
Peel, mash and add salt to taste.
Keep aside.
Mix Paneer, Khoya, and all masala powders to make the filling.
Make rounds of the potato mash and place a little filling in the center of each round.
Seal the edges and shape into rounds. Deep fry each kofta till golden brown.
Blend together the onions, tomatoes, the poppy seeds to make paste. After that add some crushed groundnuts in the paste.
Fry the paste in 3 tbsp of oil till brown and the oil begins to separate.
Add the masala powders.
Add the sugar
The gravy will begin to thicken.
You can also add some malai to thicken it some more.
Mix in some water if necessary.
When the gravy comes to a boil, add the koftas.
Heat through and serve the malai kofta.
Garnish with corriander and paneer/cheese.
For Koftas to be crunchy, put them in gravy just 5 mins before eating.

This sunday me and my husband went somewhere out of the city. While moving we saw this unusual (can't even recognize is it flower, seed, fruit) stuff and we took a photograph of it. And while going though our trip fotos, I for the first time experimented and made a color pencil drawing of it, which you can see on the right side. Though, not perfectly drawn (I am not satisfied at all), I will now sketch from photograph.

Early morning,I was sitting with my husband in the garden and was seeing small kids and their parents were waiting for school bus. I went into my thought process that why these small kids have to compromise their 'bachpan' with the studies. They loose their innocence and get 'mature' early. Children at the age of 3 years are forcefully send to school. I ask the parents, why so? Don't they think that these children need freedom of thought. Can't we let them think and grow on their own. I say this thing because after going to school, they get influenced by other children. They don't even know what is wrong and what is right. It is only the custom of society that only literate are well-mannered and cultured. In this rat-race whole world is involved in snatching the childhood of their kids.

And story not only ends here, if they are passed out, they have to start their life by competing everywhere. Whether it may be the ability to prove self, or the ability to get new job. Every moment they have to prove themselves in front of the world. Who are these people to give them grades, or measure their ability. Every human being is the creation of god, thus, everybody is special.

We are born individual and I think that we should live our life somewhat different from others ann should not get indulge in this rat race....

One night 4 MBA students were boozing till late night and didn't study for the test which was scheduled for the next day. In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as dirty and weird as they could with grease and dirt.
They then went up to the dean and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.
Then dean was a just person so he said that you can have the retest after 3 days.They said they will be ready by that time. On the third day they appeared before the dean.
The dean said that this was a special condition test.All four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test. They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last three days.

The test consisted of 2 questions with total of 100 marks.
Q.1. Write down your name -----(2 marks)
Q.2. Which tyre bursted? -------(98 marks)!!

It was a hot meeting at the office conference hall. All the people from the department had been called. The VP was looking much tensed. The mood was so bad. My friend asked me -"Hey, what is this meeting all about? I told - May be they will decide on when to have the next meeting. People around smiled at each other.
Then the VP started talking. It was about the recent attrition rate that was so high. Around 10 people had put in their papers. All experienced guys. It was quarter end and so work was huge. If we do not complete the work on time, we need to be paying heavy penalty said the VP. The VP turned to the manager and told "Hey - take how much ever resources you want. Recruit or take them from other departments. But complete the work in another 25 days. Take people and complete it man.
To this the sweet manager replied "Sir! Give me one wife and nine months and I shall show you results. Don't give me nine wives and one month. I cannot do anything."
Everyone looked at him blank. The VP was not prepared for this answer. We looked at the manager and thought "What an Awesome Reply man!"

Madagascar-Escape 2 Africa, was a movie , I was waiting for a long time and finally the day came when it was released. My husband bought two tickets for the morning show. Reason being its inexpensive and not much of traffic. It was my first time watching morning show. It was an awesome experience. The movie was fun-filled with lots of small jokes in between. Penguins were the heroes. They were a must watch. The best part was giraffe finally proposed hippo and alex, the lion got his family back. Guys, don't miss this movie!!

Why Newton Committed Suicide

Once, Newton came to India and watched a few Tamil movies that had his head spinning. He was convinced that all his logic and laws in physics were just a huge pile of junk and apologized for everything he had done.

In the movie of Rajanikanth, Newton was confused to such an extent that he went paranoid. Here are a few scenes

1) Rajanikanth has a Brain Tumor which, according to the doctors can't be cured and his death is imminent. In one of the fights, Rajanikanth is shot in the head. To everybody's surprise, the bullet passes through his ears taking away the tumor along with it and he is cured! Long Live Rajanikanth!

2) In another movie, Rajanikanth is confronted with 3 gangsters.
Rajanikanth has a gun but unfortunately only one bullet and a knife.

Guess, what he does?

He throws the knife at the middle gangster? & shoots the bullet towards the knife. The knife cuts the bullet into 2 pieces, which kills both the gangsters on each side of the middle gangster & the knife kills the middle one.

3) Rajanikanth is chased by a gangster. Rajanikanth has a revolver but no bullets in it. Guess, what he does. Nah? not even in your remotest imaginations.

He waits for the gangster to shoot. As soon as the gangster shoots, Rajanikanth opens the bullet compartment of his revolver and catches the bullet. Then, he closes the bullet compartment and fires his gun.
Bang... the gangster dies...

This was too much for our Newton to take! He was completely shaken and decided to go back. But he happened to see another movie for one last time, and thought that at least one movie would follow his theory of physics. The whole movie goes fine and Newton is happy that all in the world hasn't changed. Oops, not so fast!

The 'climax' finally arrives.
Rajanikanth gets to know that the villain is on the other side of a very high wall. So high that Rajanikanth can't jump even if he tries like one of those superman techniques that our heroes normally use. Rajanikanth has to desperately kill the villain because it's the climax.
( Newton dada is smiling since it is virtually impossible?)

Rajanikanth suddenly pulls two guns from his pockets. He throws one gun in the air and when the gun has reached above the height of the wall, he uses the second gun and shoots at the trigger of the first gun in air. The first gun fires off and the villain is dead.

Newton commits suicide...

The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bott e with sweets and said
'Dear Child..u can take the sweets... but the child didnt take.The shop keeper was surprised.. such a small child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets.... now mother also heard that and said.. beta take the sweets.. yet he didnt take...

The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets... he himself took the sweets and gave to the child...... the child was happy to get two hands full of sweets ....
When returned to home Mother asked child...
Why didnt you take the sweets... when shop keeper told you to take...

Michael Jackson has always been in news. Recently he converted to Islam and changed his name to Mikaeel.The 50-year-old singer, who has previously been photographed wearing a traditional Arab women's veil, reportedly became a Muslim in a ceremony at a friend's house in Los Angeles.

Now a bad news, Michael Jackson is suffering from a rare lung condition and needs to undergo a transplant, according to Halperin, the author of a new biography on the King of Pop. "He needs a lung transplant but may be too weak to go through with it. He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping. It's the bleeding that is the most problematic part. It could kill him."

Halperin also said Jackson "can barely speak" and is having trouble seeing: "The vision in his left eye is 95 percent gone."

For years Michael has been working with his doctors to make sure it doesn’t progress. 'He has been on many medications that have stabilised him.

Yes its true!! Fans of Mahendra singh Dhoni to build temple with his statue. Jitendra kumar singh, diehard Dhoni's fan laid the foundation of a temple with a life-size statue of Dhoni, at Hawai nagar in Ranchi...What a wonder...well we should be used to it...People build temples of Amitabh so why not of Dhoni? MS Dhoni would be the first cricketer to have a temple dedicated to him.

The temple would have 1650sq ft plot. This will also show photographs and videos of Dhoni...Interesting naa??
Jitendra singh, played with Dhoni in his school so he has some rare photographs which he wish to exhibit in temple. The temple may have about 230 photographs. The expenses are not known but let see....:))

The season of celebrations have started. Its Christmas and then New Year. But do we really have that mood from inside to celebrate? First recession and a threat of terror, christmas and new year are witnessing a lull. After tough time and tragedy, its time to bonding with your family and soul-searching. The gilded glitter of gourmet meals and luxurious holidays is assuming a back seat. Christmas is a quite affair and people feel so superficial in the present days. Even new year celebrations seems to lack lustre. Few actresses have cancelled their performances on the new year eve.

Post terror attack, we realise how essential its to reach out people whom we take for granted. Life is so small, so why not to gather together with our families, who wait for us, when we are busy hanging around with our friends.
